A.1 Description of work
Mechatronic, Level 4 constructs, installs, configures and services mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical and electronic equipment.
They perform their duties independently or as part of a team.
The work requires basic knowledge in the fields of mechanics, electricity, electronics and ...
information technology.
Mechatronic, Level 4 can work in enterprises offering mechanical, automation, electronics industry and maintenance services. A mechatronics engineer working in the clothing, food, plastics, metal or other production industries understands the nature of the respective production process.
The duties of a mechatronics engineer may partly overlap with the duties of skilled workers from enterprises in connected fields (e.g. automation engineer or robot operator).

3. Chooses and prepares the materials necessary for the task;
4. Assembles the work equipment necessary for the task;
5. Checks the conformity of work equipment.
B.2.2 Conformity with safety requirements 4

Performance indicators
1. Follows work safety requirements at every stage to prevent occupational accidents;
2. Follows the operational and safety requirements of equipment;
3. Prepares a safe workplace and checks its safety in the course of work, keeping the workplace in good order;
4. Follows work environment safety rules and collects waste following procedural and supervisory rules;
5. Reports hazards to the person responsible pursuant to the procedure established in the enterprise;
6. Correctly uses the prescribed safety and personal protective equipment;
7. Regularly checks the functionality of safety and personal protective equipment.
B.2.3 Constructing and installing equipment 4

Performance indicators
1. Assembles components according to technical documentation;
2. Checks the compliance of the installation site with technical requirements based on visual inspection or technical documentation;
3. Installs components according to the manufacturer’s instructions and project documentation;
4. Programmes industrial controllers in the appropriate programming language based on the technical task;
5. Makes a back-up copy of the programme by saving and describing the changes in quality control;
6. Configures the parameters of the control systems of the equipment, adhering to technical documentation;
7. Adjusts the parameters of sensors and actuators based on the conditions of the system for the functioning of software and hardware;
8. Checks the performance of equipment and its compliance with the project;
9. Documents the changes made to the system and saves them digitally.
B.2.4 Planned equipment maintenance 4

Performance indicators
1. Checks the compliance of equipment performance with the manual visually and using measuring instruments and identifies the location of possible failures or errors;
2. Forwards information to the employee responsible;
3. Lubricates, cleans, tightens, configures and aligns equipment and components according to the maintenance plan, using the appropriate work equipment;
4. Documents the results of checks and maintenance pursuant to the established procedure;
5. Can use and understand instruction and maintenance manuals, diagrams, technical drawings and other documentation.
B.2.5 Maintenance repairs of equipment 4

Performance indicators
1. Identifies the cause of the error visually or by taking measurements, utilising electrical and mechanical expertise;
2. Eliminates equipment errors according to the manual and within the limits of their competence;
3. Eliminates errors and malfunctions and replaces malfunctioning equipment and their components according to the repair plan;
4. Configures the equipment according to the given parameters;
5. Checks the performance of the installed components visually, mechanically and using software;
6. Performs measurements of automatics and electricity using the appropriate measuring instruments to ensure that the device meets all requirements;
7. Checks the elimination of error messages in the repaired device and its readiness to restart via the control unit, then restarts the device;
8. Documents the repair results pursuant to the established procedure;
9. Can use and understand the documents pertaining to repairs and maintenance (instruction manuals for installation, use and maintenance, diagrams and technical drawings (content and symbols).
