A.3 Work environment and specific nature of work
The work is seasonal and some periods are busy and intensive. Workers must be prepared to work overtime, on weekends and during holidays. Occasionally work must be done in outdoor environments or at heights, requiring physical and mental strength. Extreme weather, vibration, noise and dust must be t...aken into account. Contact with chemicals that may trigger allergic reactions is possible. Safety and personal protective equipment is mandatory for avoiding trauma and environmental pollution.

1. Can find the necessary information for completing work tasks from project blueprints, manuals and other technical documentation using appropriate application software;
2. Determines the order of project stages and workplace risk factors according to the available information;
3. Assembles work equipment and devices according to the task, instructional materials and the technology used;
4. Ensures the work equipment's compliance with standards;
5. Decides the amount of material to use according to technical documentation and the markings on the materials;
6. Assembles the necessary materials and requisites;
7. Stores materials according to standards.
B.2.2 Ensuring safety 4

Performance indicators:
1. Adheres to electricity and fire safety requirements at every stage of work;
2. Uses safe work methods in order to avoid accidents and the risk of pollution;
3. Adheres to safety card instructions when handling devices and chemicals;
4. Secures and prepares a safe work space for the given work processes and keeps it in order;
5. Meets the occupational safety requirements that apply to the work place;
6. Follows work environment safety rules and collects waste according to procedural rules and supervision policies;
7. Uses the necessary safety and personal protection equipment in order to avoid accidents and health risks;
8. Ensures that safety and personal protection equipment is in order.
B.2.3 Inspection and maintenance 4

Performance indicators:
1. Ensures product adherence to standards through visual inspection and using appropriate measurement tools. Records work results according to established procedures;
2. Identifies the causes of any defects or flaws found in a product and informs the responsible worker of the non-compliance;
3. Eliminates defects within the limits of their competence, following all relevant instructions;
4. Maintains and cleans moulds according to the maintenance schedule;
5. Does a final inspection of eliminated defects;
6. Documents work results and changes made according to the established procedure.
B.2.4 Laminating boat hull, deck construction and interior parts 4

Performance indicators:
1. Cleans, waxes and tapes moulds according to instructions;
2. Paints prepared moulds by hand or with a machine according to instructions;
3. Laminates parts made from the prepared materials using manual or vacuum methods according to the specifications;
4. Safely removes parts from their moulds using appropriate work methods and equipment;
5. Cuts and trims parts using appropriate work methods and equipment.
B.2.5 Fitting and assembling laminated and other parts for small boats 4

Performance indicators:
1. Chooses parts that are laminated and made from other materials (plastic, wood and metal) and fits them according to the blueprints;
2. Laminates fitted parts according to the blueprints.
B.2.6 Finishing composite parts and surfaces 4

Performance indicators:
1. Roughens and cleans parts and surfaces according to the material of the surface and the finishing material;
2. Paints the inner surfaces of laminated parts according to instructions;
3. Paints the bottom of a boat beneath the waterline according to instructions;
4. Polishes and waxes the exterior surfaces of a boat according to instructions.
