A Description of work
A.1 Description of work
Keevitaja töötab põhiliselt metalltooteid ja -konstruktsioone valmistavas ettevõttes ning ehitus-, paigaldus-, hoolde- ja remonditöödel.
Keevitaja põhitöö on keevitustööde ettevalmistamine, tarindi koostamine vastavalt joonisele, keevisliidete teostamine ning järeltöötlus ja tulemuse kontroll. Töö...
nõuab jooniste lugemise oskust, töötlemistehnoloogia ja materjalide omaduste tundmist.

Käesolevas kutsestandardis on kirjeldatud 3. taseme keevitaja kutsealaseid kompetentse.
Selle taseme keevitaja on võimeline koostama ja keevitama lihtsamaid keevistooteid, detaile ning ehituskonstruktsioone. Keerulisemate tööde (kontrolli nõudvad tooted) puhul vajab juhendamist.
3. taseme keevitaja kasutab oma töös järgmisi keevitusviise: käsikaarkeevitus (MMA 111) ja poolautomaatkeevitus (MAG 135).

A.3 Work environment and specific nature of work
Keevitaja töötab nii sise- kui ka välistingimustes, tööaeg on üldjuhul fikseeritud, kuid sõltuvalt ettevõtte eripärast võib olla korraldatud ka vahetustega töötamine. Töö on mõõduka tempoga, tööülesanded vahelduvad. Keevitaja peab olema valmis töötama ebamugavas või sundasendis, taluma temperatuurik...õikumisi, kõrgusi, vibratsiooni, müra ja tolmu. Töö võib toimuda ohtlikes keskkondades, nt mahutites, ehitus- või tööstusobjektil kõrgustes jne. Ta peab tundma kutsealast ohutustehnikat, elektriseadmete kasutamisega kaasnevat ohutustehnikat, kasutama asjakohaseid kaitsevahendeid ning teadma keevitusega kaasnevaid kahjulikke toimeid inimorganismile (põletusoht, nägemiskahjustused jne).
Keevitamisel eralduvad gaasid ja töökeskkonnas olev kivi- ja metallitolm võivad esile kutsuda allergilisi reaktsioone.

Performance indicators
1. Familiarises themselves with technical drawings, work instructions and the technological chart (WPS).
2. Chooses the necessary equipment, materials (assemblies, parts, elements, etc.), tools and accessories based on the nature of the work and production conditions under instruction. Chooses a welding method and type of welded joint based on the technical drawing and technological chart under instruction.
3. Chooses the necessary welding equipment (welding wire, welding electrode, protective gas, backing, etc.) based on the WPS under instruction.
4. Configures the welding machine to the mode specified in the WPS and assesses the conformity of the weld on the sample part under instruction.

2. Constructs assemblies (using spot or tack welding) based on the technical drawing and the WPS and checks the compliance of the assembly to the drawing. Fixes the assemblies using fixtures, if necessary.
